We love to sing Thanksgiving Songs with our grandchildren. Teaching children to sing appropriate songs for the holidays is a great way to have fun with the children and teach them a great tradition at the same time.

Our friend and writing partner, Susan52, lost her home in a forest fire this week. She was watching the fire as it approached and posted that comment on facebook. Within an hour, she had escaped with her precious pets and was with a neighbor. What a horrifying event!
Susan and her family are safe but the house is gone. They saved nothing except themselves, the pets and their cars.
It is so very important that we all tell our stories, especially those of us over 60. If you don't tell your story, who will? What are your favorite memories? Do your children know what you treasure? When you are gone, will they remember?
How will this generation know what it was like to listen to stories on the radio like we used to do on Saturday? They will know it because you tell them.
I remember curling up on the living room floor in my bathrobe on Saturday morning. I don't remember the program. I remember being warm in that big robe and feeling that cold, cold floor.
